FUND RAISING PROPOSAL

Dear Friends:

DEAF BAPTIST FELLOWSHIP OF AMERICA (DBFA) will be held at the La Quinta Inn in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23 to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2007.  We will teach you how to build local deaf ministries and to train the deaf to serve the Lord.  Our theme is "My Meat Is To Do God's Will!"

Every year the DBFA has an average of 200 delegates at its annual fellowship.  Kansas City we had about 560 people.  We are expecting 200 to 500 people to attend the Oklahoma fellowship and are praying that more delegates will attend.  Attendees to the fellowship consist of families, couples and singles.  About half will be hearing impaired or deaf people and the other half will be hearing people.  10% come from other countries, 40% from Western States, 40% from Eastern States, and 10% from parts of the USA.

Sponsors of the fellowship will have an important part in this evangelistic effort.  To keep the costs as low as possible we need additional sponsors to help with donations and discounts on meals, transportation, accommodations, and general conference costs.  Many of these delegates are laymen, ministers, pastors, evangelists, and missionaries with low income.  Visitors who attend the complimentary evening services Monday through Thursday will hear the Gospel for the first time in those services.

DBFA is providing training for people who are working with deaf people around the globe.  We also help with fundraising for fellowships to bring people together to know the Gospel and to build churches for the deaf community in other countries.  Can you help us raise funds to sponsor this fellowship?
